You reach Xanthos about an hour before sunset. Just before you reach the city gates, Deandra tells you, "My father has a minister here to watch over our merchant interests. I'm sure Minister Craedus can get us a boat."

Gabrielle looks over at you, then at Deandra. "Are you sure that's a good idea? I mean, until we can figure out who stole the tapestry, wouldn't it be a better idea not to involve anyone who might have had anything to do with the theft?"

Deandra, looking surprised, replies, "Craedus? He's been with my family for years. I can't imagine him having anything to do with the theft. Especially since he's stationed here. If we go to him, we can get a boat to sail straight home, instead of having to wait for a ship heading that direction. Time is of the essence."

"I hate to sound cynical, but saving time won't do us any good if we get sabotaged during our trip. What do you think, Xena?"

We'll see Craedus.
We'll hire a boat ourselves.
